Roulette has been one of the most enjoyable games that adults play. Others are so serious in playing that they are even devising some strategies and systems that can assure wins. The utilization of complex mathematics is used by serious roulette players and mathematical theories are also used because of the number patterns.
Leonardo Pisan or Fibonacci was an Italian mathematician born in 1170 AD in Pisa. He and his father travelled the Mediterranean when he was still a kid and was exposed to different cultures. He was interested in mathematics and he was known for the discovery of the Fibonacci sequence. He was also able to solve various mathematical problems. The Fibonacci sequence is used in losing or negative progression. The following series of numbers is the Fibonacci sequence:
1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, 233, 377…
The Fibonacci sequence can be obtained by adding the last two numbers of the series to obtain the next number. Just like the first one, which is 0 and 1, makes 1 as the next number in the series. Then 1 plus 1 brings 2 as the next number, etc. As for the roulette system, the Fibonacci sequence is like the La Bouchere system or Cross Out system of roulette. The only difference is that the roulette players start with an empty line. If in case the player won the first bet, then the sequence is over. But if the player loses the first bet, the line will start with 1 and the sequence will now start. The size of the wager is specified by the next number in the sequence. As the bet loses each game, the number in the sequence goes on. But if the bet win, the last two numbers in the sequence will be crossed out.
To make the game easier to understand, take a look at the following example:
1.) Bet 1 unit and lose: 1 -1 units
2.) Bet 1 unit and lose: 1-1 -2 units
3.) Bet 2 units and lose: 1-1-2 -4 units
4.) Bet 3 units and win: 1-x-x -1 units
After winning the fourth game, the last two numbers in the sequence were crossed out. But as the bet loses, the sequence of numbers continuously increase until the bet wins. The player can win the sequence when a net profit of 1 unit is gained.
When using the Fibonacci, it is advised that players should only limit their top bets up to five units. With this, the players will be prevented from having so much loses just in case. The wage increases as the player loses the game and can accumulate to a big amount of units in the end especially when the player has no wins. So to prevent this, it is safe to limit the players’ bets. In Fibonacci, the players should know where to stop when they face many losses in the game that they are in.
Here is an example of how the units go up when having loses in a row:
1.) Bet 1 unit and lose: 1 -1 units
2.) Bet 1 unit and lose: 1-1 -2 units
3.) Bet 2 units and lose: 1-1-2 -4 units
4.) Bet 3 units and lose: 1-1-2-3 -7 units
5.) Bet 5 units and lose: 1-1-2-3-5 -12 units
6.) Bet 8 units and lose: 1-1-2-3-5-8 -20 units
It can be seen in this example that the units go up to 20 as the player loses the bets in a row because the numbers are not crossed out. So to prevent having big loses at the end of the day, the players should know where to draw the line in playing the game.
There is also a Fibonacci game where the number 1 at the beginning of the sequence is omitted. This is a more aggressive version of Fibonacci but there are also chances that players will lose more money when they do that. But the shortened version is still enjoyable.
Fibonacci is fun to play whatever version players play. The important thing here is that the players should know where to stop in playing and where to draw the line because the chance of losing so much money is big especially when they lose in a row.
